Newsletter, Kona HI, YWAM- DTS

Aloha Everyone,

I wanted to give you an update on what's going on in my life right now. Last week, I began my Discipleship Training School classes in Kona Hawaii. My leaders, Pieter and Dawn Heres are amazing, with such hearts for the poor! They are so passionate about instilling in all of us, a reminder of God's great love for us, as well as how to remain in a place where our identity is fully in Him! I'm also blessed to have great roommates!

The Compassion DTS is the internship I chose to attend in YWAM. The focus of the internship aims to address the issues of poverty and injustice in this world. My internship is 6 months long. Three months of my training focus' on teaching and the other three months is hands on training in another area of the world. I have four options of where to do my outreach training. They are Thailand, Rwanda, Cambodia and Columbia. I feel very drawn to Thailand and Rwanda.

I am so thankful to those of you who have given to make it possible for me to attend Compassion DTS. I know you have given sacrificially to me and I don't take that for granted.
Although, my first three months have been covered financially, I am still believing the Lord to provide the money needed for my outreach. The total cost of my outreach will be $5,000-$6,000. I am required to have my ticket expense of $2,500 by the end of October. If you would pray about partnering with me on this wonderful venture I would be so thankful and blessed! Again, I know that those of you who have given to me have made great sacrifices to do so and I promise to make the most of my time in YWAM one that produces much fruit!

God bless you all and please remember me in your prayers! Thank you so much!

Love in Jesus,

Telma
